MONTE Launches Dedicated Strategy for Special Missions Aircraft to Support Climate and Emergency Response
MONTE is pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated strategy focused on financing fixed-wing aircraft used in mission-critical operations, including aerial firefighting, medevac, search and rescue, and geo-mapping.
This launch marks a strategic expansion of MONTE’s platform into the essential services aviation segment, further reinforcing its commitment to asset-backed financing. Through this strategy, MONTE will deploy flexible, long-term capital to support specialist operators globally—targeting aircraft leased under recurring offtake contracts with governments and government-backed emergency response agencies.
“The aviation industry plays a vital role in delivering emergency services that protect lives and ecosystems,” said Timothy Eyre, Chief Operating Officer at MONTE. “With the launch of this strategy, we aim to provide mission-ready aircraft to operators while delivering long-term value to our institutional investors.”
As climate-related disasters become more frequent and severe, the role of special missions aircraft has become increasingly critical. Aligned with MONTE’s mission to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors, the company would, through this strategy, finance aircraft that deliver essential environmental and emergency services, directly supporting climate resilience and sustainability goals.
