1980s - 1990s

Bank of America

Founding members of MONTE held senior global leadership roles at Bank of America, where they arranged and financed approximately US$12 billion of aircraft transactions for airlines such as American Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, etc.

1999 - 2008​

Montrose Global: Bank of America JV​

Montrose Global was established in 1999 as a JV between Bank of America Leasing and Capital Group (75% ownership) and Raymond Eyre (25% ownership), as a lease manager for international aircraft and rail assets on behalf of Bank of America and Arcapita. Montrose Global has arranged, advised and financed approximately US$3.4 billion of aircraft transactions​.

2009 - 2020

Montrose Global Aircraft Management (MGAM)​

Raymond Eyre acquired the entire share capital of Montrose Global in 2009. Since then, Montrose has become a profitable, niche player in the regional turboprop aircraft leasing market, financing approximately US$200 million of aircraft​.

MONTE Today

MONTE was founded in June 2021 to provide financing / leasing solutions for small regional turboprop aircraft that can be converted into or replaced by zero or low emissions aircraft. In addition, MONTE focuses on providing support for special missions turboprop aircraft that provide an environmental or social benefit to the communities in which they operate​.

Raymond Eyre

Executive Chairman

Raymond (Ray) is the founder and Executive Chairman of MONTE. With over 30 years of experience in international leasing and cross-border asset finance, he has led the structuring and execution of more than US$20 billion in transportation transactions. ​

Prior to founding MONTE, Ray served as Managing Director and Global Head of Leasing at Bank of America, where he was responsible for building and overseeing the firm’s international leasing platform. His expertise spans aviation, maritime, and industrial sectors, and he has executed deals in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific with a diverse range of counterparties including sovereigns, global banks, and institutional investors. ​

Ray continues to play a hands-on role in setting the firm’s strategic direction, governance priorities, and international growth agenda.

Timothy Eyre

Chief Operating Officer

Timothy (Tim) oversees MONTE’s growth strategy, transaction execution, and portfolio management across aviation, maritime and infrastructure. ​

As COO, he also drives cross-functional collaboration across investment, legal, and finance teams to ensure scalable growth and disciplined deployment of capital. He also leads MONTE’s energy transition strategy.​

He brings over a decade’s experience in financing real assets, having previously worked at Macquarie Asset Management, where he was responsible for capital raising and transaction execution within the infrastructure and renewables team. ​

Tim holds a Master’s degree in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge.

Tom leads MONTE’s origination and execution strategy across Asia-Pacific. With over 35 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, and structured leasing, he brings deep expertise in cross-border financing, risk structuring, and sovereign-backed transactions. ​

Prior to joining MONTE, Tom previously led Bank of America’s leasing business in Australia and New Zealand as Managing Director, managing multi-million dollar mandates in aviation and infrastructure. Tom has also held senior roles at ANZ, Citibank, and the Australian subsidiary of DBSM (now UBS), delivering financing solutions for government entities and top-tier corporates. His track record spans a range of asset classes including energy, aviation, and rail. ​

Based in Australia, Tom plays a critical role in expanding MONTE’s footprint in high-growth Asian markets.

David leads MONTE’s legal and regulatory function, overseeing the structuring, negotiation, and execution of aircraft lease, sale, and financing agreements. With over 10 years of experience in international aviation asset finance, he brings a rare blend of legal precision and commercial pragmatism. Prior to MONTE, David was General Counsel at Vueling Airlines, where he led all fleet transactions and financing arrangements across a complex and growing platform. He also held senior legal roles at Gestair Group, Aergo Capital, and SR Technics, gaining exposure to both operator-side and lessor-side dynamics.​

David holds a Master’s in International Business Law (Spain), an MSc in Air Transport Management (UK), and has completed an executive management programme in Spain. Fluent in three languages, he brings global deal fluency and operational insight to MONTE’s cross-border transactions.

Marie manages financial reporting, budgeting, and systems implementation at MONTE. She brings over a decade of experience across financial control, audit, and transformation projects. ​​

Prior to joining MONTE, she was Finance Manager at Ortus Secured Finance, where she led UK group consolidations and the rollout of new accounting systems. Marie began her career with KPMG, spending five years in Dublin and New York auditing aviation and banking clients such as GECAS, Airbus, ICBC, and Barclays. ​

She is a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Ireland and holds a Master’s in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin. Her hybrid background across audit and in-house roles gives her a sharp understanding of both technical reporting and strategic finance operations.

Gobi oversees financial control, audit, compliance, and reporting across MONTE’s group entities. ​​

Before joining MONTE, he worked at Grant Thornton Singapore where he managed financial operations for clients in telecom, aviation, oil trading, engineering, and healthcare. His portfolio included audit, internal controls, tax compliance, and corporate finance advisory. ​

Gobi is a Chartered Accountant with 14 years of experience in financial governance, regulatory frameworks, and cross-border accounting standards. Gobi is a member of CIMA, ACCA, CGMA, ISCA and holds a BBA in Finance.

Abdur supports investment origination, modelling, and deal execution across MONTE’s aviation, maritime and infrastructure verticals. He works across transaction diligence, investment committee materials, and post-deal performance tracking, combining financial rigor with sector insight.​​

Prior to joining MONTE, Abdur previously worked at the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) of India, where he was part of the investment team deploying capital into renewable energy, leasing platforms, and transportation assets. At NIIF, he built transaction models for investments ranging from $10 million to $400 million and supported commercial and legal negotiations with banks, DFIs, and corporates. ​

Abdur holds an MBA from London Business School, UK and a BA (Honours) in Economics from Ashoka University, India​

Matt supports MONTE’s finance operations, with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, audit, budgeting, software implementation and contributing to automation and efficiency initiatives. ​

He brings a blend of audit expertise and process improvement capabilities, having previously worked at Mazars in London for four years. There, he led external audits for clients in IT consultancy and manufacturing, and was instrumental in rolling out a firmwide audit software upgrade. ​

He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Exeter. ​
